In any case, you want to choose a healthy fish to have the best start, giving it a good chance for a long life. Did you know that Betta fish can live up to five years? A fish that starts out sick, however, may only live up to six months after purchase. It's easier to care for a healthy fish than to revive an unhealthy one.

Here are the different aspects to look for when choosing your fish:

Environment: Are the cups clean or are they full of dirty water? Is there a bad smell in the air? It could be from dead fish.

Color: Bettas are known for their vibrant coloring. Of course, there are variations that are pale or white. More likely, however, the dull color is a sign of stress or poor health.

Behavior: You want an active fish, floating upright, not spending too much time on the bottom. If a fish is motionless it could be sleeping. Don't tap on the glass as that will stress it out. Be subtle trying to get his attention.

Body: The body should be full and sleek, with no noticeable bumps. If it has white splotches it could have a fungus.

Fins: The fins should be free of wholes or tears, and spread fully instead of clamped together.

Scales: The scales should be flat and smooth. They shouldn't be loose or peeling.

Gills: Gills should be smooth, not red or stringy.

Eyes: The eyes should be dark and clear. They should not be bulging or sunken.

If something just doesn't look or feel right, pass on that fish and look at another one. It's good to trust your instincts. If there are many healthy fish to choose from, then go with personal preference.

The sooner you develop healthy voice habits, the better your voice quality will be and the longer you will be able to sing well.

Drink your water. Simple advice that every doctor gives to every person whether you are a singer or an average Joe, yet for singers drinking at least six to eight glasses of water a day is imperative. Drinking enough water every day is important and does not include thinks that have alcohol or caffeine. Water hydrates the body and keeps skin and muscles at their best, but if you add alcohol and caffeine, it dries out the body. Keeping yourself hydrated means keeping your throat hydrated, too.

Though water is important, so is breathing. One of the first lessons you will have when you start learning how to sing is learning how to breathe. Singers need to breathe from the diaphragm in order to protect your voice. If you talk or sing from your throat, without the support of a breath, you will put a strain on your voice.

Avoiding certain foods, drinks, and behaviors are included in developing healthy voice habits. They may taste good, but spicy food can result in stomach acid moving back up into the throat causes problems for your voice. Also, do not smoke. This advice goes along with learning to breathe, because smoking hinders your ability to breath properly and irritates the throat. Yet, avoiding smoking also means avoiding second hand smoke. Any contact with smoke will cause throat irritation.

Besides smoking, you will also need to avoid things like mouthwash, cradling the phone, and talking in loud places. Mouthwash contains alcohol and other chemicals that can irritate your throat. If you have to gargle, try to use a saltwater solution rather than mouthwash. Cradling the phone extends your shoulder for a significant amount of time causing neck tension, which affects your voice. However, another behavior that has a strong impact on your voice is the volume at which you have to speak over any period of time. Try to avoid places where you have to do a lot of shouting or loud talking.

Avoiding places where you will have to speak loudly allows you to rest your voice, which is very important. Resting your voice also goes along with resting your body. If you are fatigued, it can cause fatigue for your voice. Recognizing vocal fatigue is important, because you do not want to make any hoarseness worse or lose your voice completely. If you do feel that you are straining your voice, you need to rest and avoid speaking or overusing it.

Still, the healthiest habits for keeping your voice healthy are those that also keep your body healthy. Exercising regularly and eating right will work wonders to keep both your body and your voice healthy. Using common sense and the breathing techniques you have been taught will allow you to keep your voice at its best.

Psoriasis is a usual skin disease that comes as lesions with white scales on the skin and also leads to weakening of skins and joints. It is a chronic disease that is characterized by red, silvery, thick and scaled patches on the skin. It is a poorly understood condition that affects the skin and also at times the nails whose symptoms include red inflamed skins covered by white scales, which flakes easily.



Psoriasis can appear all over the body and can be really itchy and irritating. Psoriasis is a metabolic disease so it is very useful that you should follow a regular diet devoid of all spicy and disorderly food. More of fruits, fresh vegetables, fruit juices, boiled bitter gourds, and curd, are very useful.
